Dr. Mark Wotherspoon is an accomplished private dental practitioner, founder, presenter and educator with 30 years experience in the industry. Dr. Mark completed his Bachelor of Dental Science in 1984 at the University of Western Australia and is a member of the Australian Dental Association NSW.
Dr. Mark’s vast experience includes, holding government service appointments as a Dental Officer in the remote Kimberley of Western Australia, and Military Service in the Army Dental Corps. He has also worked as a University Clinical Demonstrator and is the Co-Founder of Mobile Portable Dental Systems – Dentist to your Door, and most recently, the Inventor, Founder and Chairman of Dr. Mark’s HyGenie®.
In 2016, Dr. Mark co-founded Dentists to your Door – mobile dentistry for aged care. For the past three and a half years Dr. Mark has been treating residents in aged care facilities using a mobile dental unit that can fit easily in the boot of your car. Prior to starting the business, Dr. Mark spent several months investigating the sector, consulting with local aged care providers and facilities, and realised the demand for a mobile dentistry service of this kind.
Dr. Mark’s mission is to encourage more private dentists to join him to treat older Australians and provide them with better access to professional dental services, while creating far less disturbance to their set routines.
Outside of dentistry and innovation, Dr. Mark is an avid bush walker and golfing tragic who loves to stay in shape all year round, especially in the winter months.
