Whip Mix has two manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Everyone knows about our Louisville, KY headquarters, but did you know about our Ft. Collins, CO manufacturing facility? It’s there that we manufacture our Whip Mix, Denar®, and Hanau™ articulators, facebows, and many other products.
Meet the women of Whip Mix West!
Tricia Davis: Manufacturing Financial Analyst / Purchasing
Tricia, who has been working at Whip Mix West since mid-2019, closes work orders, challenges and reviews variances from closed manufacturing orders, and maintains Item Master and BOM within the ERP System. She also codes bills, purchases manufacturing supply expenses and office supplies, and researches opportunities to reduce material costs. Tricia ensures proper file maintenance and document control. If that’s not enough, Tricia also develops and maintains accurate databases, spreadsheets, reports, extracts, and graphs.
Outside of work she enjoys following the local live music scene, travel, wine tasting, and, in whatever spare time she has, she is finishing up her Finance degree!
Angela Giles: Senior Assembler
Angela has worked at Whip Mix West since May of 2003. As a Senior Assembler, Angela assembles several different products, repairs products, inspects and evaluates credit returns, assists in procedural development, and guides the work of less experienced assemblers in routine operations.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys yard & board games, cards, darts, hanging out with her friends & family, and, when it’s warm, she likes taking walks, camping and sitting by the river listening to the water run because it’s very calming.
Eva Sodman: Senior Assembler
As a Senior Assembler, Eva assembles and repairs products, inspects and evaluates credit returns, assists in procedure development, and is always happy to help less experienced assemblers in routine operations. Eva has worked for Whip Mix since August of 1999.
Outside of work, Eva enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Lucy. She likes road trips, loves to dance to any type of music, is passionate about growing flowers & vegetables, loves knitting dish cloths and scarves to give away. She especially loves spring and summer, which are her favorite seasons of the year. Eva also enjoys learning new languages.
Joann Castaneda: Senior Assembler
Joann, who joined Whip Mix West in July, 2009, assembles and repairs assigned products, inspect and evaluates credit returns, assists in procedure development, and may be called upon to guide the work of less skilled or experienced assemblers.
Outside of work, Joann enjoys sewing, cross-stitching, and spending time with her family.
Lisa Sterkel: Senior Assembler
Lisa has been at Whip Mix since mid-1989, assembling products, inspecting and evaluating credit returns, and assisting in procedure development. She may also be called upon to help new, or less experienced assemblers in routine operations.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Blanca Prado: Assembler
Meet Blanca Prado. Blanca has been working for Whip Mix for approximately one year. Her position at Whip Mix is Assembler, and as such, she is in charge of assembling the Whip Mix Articulators. Blanca is proud of the woman she is today. Without the challenges of her job, she would not have been able to grow and push herself to learn things outside of her normal comfort zone. She is proud to be a working woman at Whip Mix. Thanks to the company, she has become strong, valuable, and independent. Blanca is a woman that will not give up even when the job is difficult. That is why she identifies as one of the hard-working women of Whip Mix.
Stephanie Johnson: CNC Machinist
Stephanie started at Whip Mix West back in November 2017. She operates CNC machine tools to produce parts to close tolerances and finish specifications.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
Trouble Lucero Samaniego: Material Handler & Warehouse Coordinator
Trouble has been with Whip Mix since March, 2000, where she oversees all activities related to receiving, storing & distributing materials & parts.
Outside work, Trouble enjoys biking and gardening.
Vickie Schick: Senior Assembler
At Whip Mix, Vickie assembles products, repairs assigned products, inspect and evaluates credit returns, assists in procedure development, and helps guide the work of less experienced assemblers in routine operations. Vickie has been with the company since June 2013.
Outside of work, Vickie enjoys spending time with her family, working in her flower beds, and gardening. She also likes to help work on cars and watch Nascar/Stock Car/Drag racing, both on TV and in person.
